After the Reunification, Africa established itself as a prosperous continent, bringing together its children who had been scattered around the world for far too long. This is the case for Malkia and her family, who settled in Kinshasa, one of the most prosperous cities, far from the Parisian suburbs where she grew up. An ordinary young woman, a law student at Patrice Lumumba University, and passionate about wrestling, Malkia sees her life in Kinshasa begin to change when her mysterious powers are revealed. While voices speak to her in her sleep, she feels oppressed by the sensation of being observed. Malkia takes us on a thrilling investigation between Kinshasa and Paris.

Malkia is a long-standing project that is close to our hearts, she is a bit like our daughter, our niece at Nofi.

We wanted to represent an African heroine transcending her condition and her past to become a revolutionary and visionary ideal. A feminine symbol of strength and courage!

The initial project was an animated film but the opportunity did not present itself. However, we did not give up. We got back up by writing its story and it was a nice surprise!

The success of the novel “Malkia – The Awakening of Ka” only confirmed that we were right and allowed us to be better prepared for a future cinematic release.
